2. Installation & Your New Dashboard

Getting Snooz set up is simple. Once you install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, it seamlessly integrates into your browser.

Your New Tab Page

The first thing you'll notice is that Snooz becomes your new default tab page. Whenever you open a new tab (Ctrl+T  or ⌘+T ), you'll see the Snooz dashboard instead of the standard Chrome page. This is by design, giving you instant access to your organized collection.

Interface Overview

The Snooz dashboard is designed for efficiency with a clean, three-panel layout:

  1. The Sidebar (Left): This is your main navigation and organization hub. Here you'll find:
    • A list of all your folders.
    • The button to create new folders.
    • A button to collapse the sidebar for a more focused view.
  2. The Main Content Area (Center): This is your primary workspace. It's where you'll see:
    • A grid of your currently open tabs.
    • A list of your saved bookmarksrecently closed tabs, and snoozed tabs.
    • Controls to switch between these views.
  3. The Header (Top): At the top of the main content area, you'll find essential tools:
      • The Global Search Bar to instantly find any tab, bookmark, or folder.
      • The Settings Menu (gear icon) where you can access dark mode, backups, and other options.
